This is me. It’s a good day. A day where I know I can get things done. Today I am not constantly questioning everything I do. Today I hope to feel good all day, not just a few moments out of the day. I’m taking care of myself today. I’m getting my sunshine and nutrition and of course iced coffee! (What’s your favorite coffee?)
Living with mental illness is a daily battle of wits. It’s a question of what’s going to win over what’s a lost cause. These battles with depression and anxiety as well as chronic pain used to be harder. But now, I can take them in stride. Some days are good and some days are bad. Constant self-care and the arts as well as medication have allowed me to arrive where I am today. It doesn’t mean bad days won’t happen again, it means I’m better prepared. How are you doing today?
